Juvenile Melancholy Series
Created in 2020 in the midst of my early teenage turmoil, this four-piece bronze sculpture series dissects my inner psyche, with each piece abstractly representing the human eye. This stage marks the root of my lasting fascination with the eye both as an image and symbol. Revered as the "window to the soul," the eye becomes a gateway to unraveling the intricate essence of emotions.
The sculptures’ raw, unrefined forms contrast with the delicacy of bronze, echoing the careful navigation of a youth’s journey through the complexities of identity and the world.
As my work often probes the subconscious, the creative process involves surrendering control and embracing unpolished spontaneity. This was my first real encounter with clay. In sculpting, I focus on the tactile dialogue with clay, allowing the material to serve as a conduit for transcribing emotions into three-dimensional form.

Like the vulvic shape it is inspired by, the center of Energy cradles life—a budding vitality ready to undertake metamorphosis. The force of growth cascades down like in a stream-like flow, leaving traces of its presence while anticipating the formation of new memories.
